News & Information
So you want to play the bagpipes? The first thing you need is a practice chanter & reeds to practice your fingering and for memorizing tunes. Next you need an instruction book.
Then if possible, find a teacher to help you. Anyone in a local pipe band should be able to help you find one. When you are ready to buy your first set of bagpipes, beware of "bargain" sets. Generally, you get what you pay for. There are sets out there made in the middle east that run a couple hundred dollars or so, but the sound is rather annoying, if you can get any sound from them at all.
